Early Life and Career

Gavin Christopher Newsom was born on October 10, 1967, in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Santa Clara University and obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Newsom's political career began in 1996 when he was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. He served as Mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011.

Lieutenant Governor and Governor

In 2011, Newsom was elected Lieutenant Governor of California. In 2018, he was elected Governor of California, a position he has held since 2019.

Policies and Accomplishments

As Governor, Newsom has implemented various policies, including:
